Preme Costa Studio was established in 2014 by Elena Preme and Marc Costa, two graduates of Elisava Barcelona School of Design and Engineering who shared a conviction that Mediterranean interiors should feel lived-in rather than staged. Our studio on Carrer de Pau Claris occupies 280 m² across two floors, including a materials library with over 400 physical samples and a dedicated client presentation room.
Our Philosophy
We believe interior design is an act of empathy. Before selecting a single tile or fabric swatch, we spend time understanding daily routines: where children do homework, how guests move through a dining room, whether morning coffee happens in the kitchen or on a terrace. This ethnographic approach informs every layout decision and prevents the common pitfall of beautiful but impractical spaces.
Our aesthetic draws from Catalan modernism, Scandinavian functionalism, and North African craft traditions. We work exclusively with suppliers who provide chain-of-custody documentation for timber and stone, and we specify low-VOC paints and adhesives as standard practice.
